A 53-year old Brooklyn native Ted Williams, homeless man with ‘golden voice’, gets a full-time job and home offered by Cleveland Cavaliers.

A Columbus Dispatch reporter found Ted Williams (homeless man with ‘golden voice’) on the side of the road while he was panhandling. A sign he was carrying reads:

“I have a God given gift of voice. I’m an ex-radio announcer who has fallen on hard times. Please! Any help will be greatfully appreciated. Thank You and God Bless You”

During the short interview at the road side, he said that he grew up in Brooklyn, and at 14 he took a field trip to a radio station. While there, he was struck by the fact that one of the on-air announcers looked nothing like he sounded. “Radio is defined ‘theater of mind,’ ” the announcer told him.

The German fairy tale Rapunzel by Brothers Grimm’s is being adapted into an animated movie by Walt Disney. The movie Rapunzel will be the 50th animated feature in the Walt Disney Animated Classics. The project is co-directed by Nathan Greno and Byron Howard. Rapunzel should be released on Christmas 2010.

Disney has decided to retitle Rapunzel as Tangled… I guess they’re thinking that this new title would be more appealing to male moviegoers since it doesn’t sound like the title of a princess story…

Nutcracker 3D, aka the Nutcracker and the Rat King, is an upcoming 3D family fantasy movie based on the Classic Tchaikovsky Christmas Ballet. The film is directed by Andrey Konchalovskiy and is starring Elle Fanning (Actress Dakota Fanning’s younger sister), Nathan Lane, Charlie Rowe, John Turturro, Frances de la Tour. The release date of Nutcracker is set for on November 24, 2010.

Love and Other Drugs is an upcoming 2010 comedy-drama film directed by Edward Zwick, based on the non-fiction title Hard Sell: The Evolution of a Viagra Salesman written by Jamie Reidy. This film is Zwick’s second film in comedy-drama genre, the first being About Last Night…. It stars Jake Gyllenhaal and Anne Hathaway.

Burlesque is an upcoming 2010 American contemporary musical film directed and written by Steve Antin and starring Cher and Christina Aguilera. The film was confirmed to be released on November 24th 2010 in North America. It was announced that both Cher and Christina Aguilera would contribute to the soundtrack album with Christina contributing to eight out of the 10 songs with Cher taking the remaining two. It was confirmed that the album would be released on November 22, 2010.

The film will also be released with D-BOX motion code in select cinemas.
